Water Polo : Red Hawks Clinch League


The Fullerton High School Red Hawks clinched first place in the Empire League and a trip to the Post season with a 22-11 win over Santa Ana on Tues. Oct. 6

The Fullerton High School Red Hawks clinched the Empire League first place and secured a trip to the post season playoffs by doubling up the Santa Ana High Saints 22-11 on Tues. Oct. 6.

It was a perfect way to end the Fullerton High School Water Polo 100th Anniversary year on Senior Night.

With the win the Red Hawks finished 4-0 in League and are 9-12 overall.

FUHS will play two games against Santa Ana to determine the Empire League Championship with a trip to the CIF Playoffs on the line.  First game is scheduled for Mon. Oct. 19 with time and location to be determined.

Cal State Fullerton Men's Water Polo eight game win streak has come to an end

The Titans fell to their Cross County and Big West rivals UC Irvine 19-6 at the Anteaters pool in Irvine.

With the loss the Titans are 17-9 overall and 0-1 in the Big West Play.  The Titans will be back in action at Long Beach State Fri. Oct. 16 at 7 PM.  

Volleyball Roundup: HIU Improves




The Hope International Royals of Fullerton were involved in an important GSAC Matchup against the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Sat. Oct. 3 at the Darling Pavilion. The Royals defeated the Eagles 3-0.

For the second time this season the Hope International University Royals of Fullerton Women's Volleyball team defeated the Embry-Riddle Eagles of Arizona.

The match was played at Darling Pavillion on the HIU Campus in Fullerton on Sat. Oct. 3.

The Royals dominated the match shutting out the Eagles 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-18).

With the win the Royals improved to 6-10 Overall on the season and 4-3 in the GSAC.

The Lady Royals will be back to the friendly confines of the Darling Pavilion on Sat. Oct. 10 for a match against Arizona Christian.  The match begins at 1 PM. The games are GSAC conference games and the Royals are currently in third place in the nine team Conference and will be looking to get closer to front runners The Masters and QUAZ.

The game is scheduled to stream on the GSAC Network.

Football Roundup: FUHS wins Nail Biter


The Fullerton Titans 8U Pop Warner Team used a balanced attack to shutout Montebello in a game at Jack Hutcherson Field at Lion's Field.

In the battle of the High Schools with the new mascots, Fullerton High School beat Canyon High 28-27.

The game was played at Fullerton Union High School Stadium on Thurs. Oct. 8.

The Red Hawks improved to 5-2 Overall and are 2-0 in the newly formed Kappa League.

FUHS goes on the road for a Kappa League Matchup against Portola High School Fri. Oct. 16.  Kickoff is 7 PM. 

In a game played at Fullerton Union High School Stadium on Thurs Oct. 1, the Troy Warriors dropped their Delta League opener to Laguna Beach 28-14.

The Warriors were down at the half 14-7 but came back to tie the game late in the third on a 41 yard run by Junior RB Riley Billington and the ensuing PAT by Senior Noah Torosian.  

The Breakers would come back in the fourth quarter with two touchdowns to seal the victory.

Troy High evened their over all record to 3-3 and are 0-1 in the newly formed Delta League.
