Fullerton High Girl's Volleyball shutout the Segerstrom Jaguars 3-0 in Empire League action on Tues. Sept. 14.
The game was played at the FUHS Gymnasium.
The Lady Hawks, led by Liz Pahl, Audrey Schade, and Olivia Chung improved to 11-10 overall and 3-1 in the Empire League. The team is improving and seems to be more confident as the season progresses. The Red Hawks are 4-3 over the last seven games.
The win evened the season series against Segerstrom (6-8, 0-4). The Lady Hawks fell to the Jaguars last month 2-1 in a non-league tournament matchup. The two teams will play two more times this season. The next time will be at Segerstrom on Wed. Sept. 30.
The Lady Hawks next go on the road to play a non-league game against Oakwood High on Thurs. Sept. 17 at 4:30 PM.
The team returns to the friendly confines of the FUHS Gym for an important league match up with first place Kennedy High (4-0) on Tues. Sept. 22. Game time is 5:30 PM. The Red Hawks fell 3-1 in the first game at Kennedy on Sept. 3.
The game is scheduled to be televised on the NFHS Streaming platform.
