Tribe Rushes Past Canyon High 26-14

FULLERTON -- Fullerton’s consistent running attack was the difference in the Indians’ 26-14 victory over Canyon on Friday night at Fullerton High.

The Comanches started the game off strong with multiple completions from sophomore quarterback Corey Elsasser to a group of wide receivers.

Elsasser connected with Austin Schaefer on a 20-yard touchdown pass.

In the second quarter, the Indians came back and tied the score, 7-7, before the half on a 9-yard run by Jesus Nodarse.

Starting the second half, the Indians returned the kick off and took control of the ball.

The strength of the Indians’ offensive line made it possible for Nodarse to run 33 yards for the Indians’ second touchdown.

The Comanches returned fire with a long touchdown pass from Elsasser to Zach Morris to take a 14-13 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Indians scored two more times in the fourth quarter to wrap up the victory.

prevail 26-14. The Indians controlled the time of possesion throughout the game with a sustained running attack proving to be too much for the Comanches.

Jesus Nodarse was a powerful force on the ground and through the air, making it difficult for the Comanches to slow him down. Nodarse scored all four touchdowns for the Indians combining for a total of 135 yards.
